What a Huge Mystery

"So what’s the secret to the McKinsey model? There are a few, and they are interconnected. One is that, however they did it, they created an institution that is prestigious enough to skim off some of the top people produced by our educational system—which is, at its high end, probably the best in the world." - James Kwak on Baseline Scenario (http://baselinescenario.com/)

However they did it? Every other article assigned in a business class is from Some Freaking Guy at McKinsey. By the time a bright young person with no real world experience graduates they must view McKinsey people as Yoda, Pai Mei, and John Elway wrapped up into one. Of COURSE they run into the loving arms of the consultants. If you want to encourage students to go into industry stop letting the consultants be the source of all wisdom in school.
